Provincial House at Gabion, Les Cayes, Haiti

These photos are taken at the Provincial House for the Southern Province of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Les Cayes, Haiti. The house was once the business office for a fruit company in the USA for their operations in Haiti. When the President of Haiti ordered them to increase the salary they provided to their employees, they refused.  They closed shop and left for Costa Rica and became a small banana company instead.  Before they abandoned their operations in Haiti, they sold their land and buildings to the Oblates in 1945. Here are photos of the chapel at the Provincial House, some of the flowers that are in the garden there and the emblem of the Oblates.
