Renewal of Mayer Munich Windows

In 1910, Fr. David McGrath contracted with the Franz Mayer Studio in Munich to install windows of exceptional quality in the church. The 14 windows in the nave tell the story of the Life of Our Lady. These windows were installed at a cost of $490 each. The renewal of them in 2020 will cost nearly $30,000 each just for the windows to be cleaned, repaired, releaded and re-installed. In March of 2020, four the windows in the most fragile condition were removed for restoration.
